Nancy BLAST Frustration - Festival de 40 artistes

Organisée par le collectif nancéien RPT (Reaction Power Trio) , le NANCY BLAST FRUSTRATION est une manifestation centrée sur les musiques/performances improvisées et expérimentales qui aura lieu à Nancy les 13, 14 et 15 octobre 2016. Regroupant plus de 40 artistes internationaux et locaux, ce festival prendra la forme d’une rencontre entre ses acteurs et son public, et aura pour but de faire découvrir ce monde musical à travers une vingtaine de concerts mêlants projets et collaborations spontanées. Au programme, deux soirées retentissantes et un marathon tonitruant !

Organized by the Nancy-based collective RPT (Reaction Power Trio), the NANCY BLAST FRUSTRATION will be a manifestation, based on improvised and experimental music/performances, taking place in Nancy the 13th, 14th and 15th October 2016. Gathering more than 40 international and local artists, the festival creates a meeting between its actors and its audience, and occurs as an encounter with the musical world through 20-ish concerts, jumbled projects and spontaneously cropped up collaborations. On the program; two ear-splitting evenings and a booming marathon!

Whether on tape or live, Trodza’s musics take you over, infest your subconscious for their wild minutes. Angelic possession, a Ceti Alpha V eel larva curling around your ear drum. These are the sounds of microphones held up to moths in a candle flame, of moths listening to microphones burning alive. A migraine of galvanic cells or the birdflu of USB-sticks: seldom do electronic gizmos sound so fleshy and raw and alive. Now the sleep apnea of isopods at thermal vents, now your father’s archtop guitar joyously disassembled. Trodza builds little bottle universes, little bathospheres where quasars and ebows and fluorescent bulbs stay up late to talk about what it feels like to know you’re alive.///

Cela fait maintenant plus de 40 ans que le bioacousticien Bernie Krause parcourt le monde seul pour enregistrer les recoins les plus sauvages de notre planète. Il aurait pu se rendre sur l’île de Svalbard au nord de la Norvège pour plonger un hydrophone dans une crevasse afin d’enregistrer le tonner blanc, ce grondement sourd et à peine audible des glaciers en train d’avancer. Il pourrait également être invité par l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’Alimentation et l’Agriculture à se rendre au Global Seed Vault. Une chambre froide creusée à même le pergélisol contenant plus de 500 000 sortes de graines venues du monde entier: fraises du volcan Atsonupuri, haricots sauvages d’Amérique du Sud et graines de tomates roses allemandes. Les couloirs d’étagères où sont stockées ces précieuses graines peuvent être considérées comme un biotope en gestation, et pourtant aucune biophonie n’est audible de cet endroit assez austère. Le Global Seed Vault de Svalbard est un de ces nombreux frigos géants où sont stockés des millions de semences agricoles, codes génétiques et informations de toutes sortes. Ses chambres froides sont à la fois une tentative d’échantillonnage notre présent et la vision glacée de notre futur. ///
